Planning guide

Power and space a rented live printing rig needs.

A staffed rental removes the equipment headaches, but the venue still needs to supply a few basics. Here’s the checklist to run before your date.

One of the best things about renting a staffed rig is that we handle the gear. Still, a smooth event depends on a few venue realities being sorted in advance. Answer these before your date and setup goes fast.

Power

Commercial heat presses draw real current. Most stations run on standard outlets, but a busy multi-press setup may need dedicated circuits so you’re not tripping a breaker mid-event. Tell us the venue’s electrical situation — indoor ballroom, outdoor site with a generator, or a convention hall with metered power — and we’ll spec accordingly.

Space and footprint

A single DTF station fits comfortably in a modest footprint, but you also want room for a guest line and a cool-down area so finished pieces aren’t handed off hot. For a doubled-up festival setup, plan a bit more width. Share your booth or floor dimensions and we’ll design a layout that keeps the line flowing.

Environment

  • Ventilation: presses put out heat; an open or well-ventilated area keeps the station comfortable.
  • Surface: a stable, level spot for tables and the press.
  • Access: a clear path for load-in, especially at convention centers with freight docks.
  • Weather cover: outdoor events need shade or a tent to protect gear and guests.

Run through these with us when you book and the operator arrives to a venue that’s ready — no surprises on event day.
